Transmitting From Austin, TX...
I like Austin. The last time I was here was with Gregory Hines at least 10 years ago. I remember it being a hip music town &, judging from the musical motifs on a lot of the souvenir merchandise, it still is. Too bad we're just here for the day without much time to explore.
It's been a little while since our last show so I'm especially looking forward to playing tonight. Should be fun & there are always some extra-special musical moments involved.
"First Melancholy..." continues to get good airplay. I've gotten a few emails from listeners & it's especially interesting to hear the variety of comments. My favorite one so far mentions how the music seems more in the classical vein than anything else. Something I never would've imagined anyone to say. I can't say enough how happy it makes me that this music is getting heard to the degree that it is.
That's about it for now. We're back on the road in a couple of weeks so I'll try to update things again from there. Till then...
