Transmitting From Berlin, Germany...
We just arrived here after a 7 1/2 hr. bus ride.
The shows in Bielefeld & Dusseldorf went well. The hall in Dusseldorf was quite unique & beautiful. It's called Tonhalle & used to be a planetarium. The lobby featured a series of oddly shaped paintings that Hitler supposedly banned for being inappropriate. Hard to see why by looking at them. The concert hall featured an extremely high domed ceiling that must've been perfect for planetarium shows.
The pace is picking up as we have a show here tomorrow & then off to Amsterdam on Tues. Another bright spot is that the remaining cities each have their own special style of cool which, as a native New Yorker, makes it feel that much more like home. More coming from Amsterdam...
