Transmitting tonight from Los Angeles, CA... Just finished playing drums on the Chabad Telethon. Considering that it was a 6-hr. live national TV broadcast, things went amazingly well. The band was excellent & was made up of some old friends from NYC so it was much fun to do some hanging. Got to meet the actor Jon Voight who seemed like a very nice guy. Wish I could've said hello to Elliot Gould, who made a short appearance. I was a huge fan of his back in the day. If you haven't seen the film, "Little Murders", in which he stars, I highly recommend it. It's one of my all-time favorites. Also got to see my old dear friend Barry Saperstein who was my bandmate & road buddy for 18 years with Gregory Hines. It always brings back alot of beautiful memories when I see anyone from the Hines "family", as we called it. We were all so lucky to be in Greg's orbit. He shared a lot of love & laughs & it all lives on in those of us who are still here. Tomorrow it's back to NYC until next weekend when I'm off to Bangor, Maine for a Liza show. I'll keep you posted on any new or interesting developments on all fronts.
