Greetings from NYC...
Just added a few dates to the calendar that I wanted to mention briefly. I'll be doing some upcoming gigs on drums with the great jazz singer Catherine Dupuis. I'll be part of pianist Russ Kassoff's trio on that one. Russ is one of the best pianists you'd ever want to hear so it'll be a double dose of some excellent music there. Also, another extremely talented musician, David Budway, has asked me to play drums on a Beatles night he's doing toward the end of the month. I met Dave when he subbed playing piano for Liza earlier in the year. We haven't rehearsed for this yet & don't know if we will but it should be lots of fun & a very high quality of playing, not to mention Beatles tunes!! There are also some shows coming up with Tiyee, the excellent rock singer I've mentioned here before. All in all, a nice variety of music & all of it with great musicians & singers. Tomorrow I leave for a little whirlwind week that has me going to Minot, ND & Las Vegas with Liza before ending next weekend in Lincoln, NE where I'll be honored to play for the ceremony of my sister-in-law's wedding! She requested a piece off of my CD which made me feel good. It'll actually be the 1st performance of any of that music live in a solo piano context! WIsh me luck!
