Transmitting From Rio De Janeiro, Brazil...
Wow, what a beautiful city and a great way to end this tour!! Situated among many different beaches, looking out into the Atlantic & seeing many different small islands & rock formations, Rio is quite a sight! Breakfast this morning was on a terrace high above Copacabana beach where our hotel is situated, with a beautiful view of the beach, ocean & the above mentioned land masses. We then ventured, via 2 cable cars, to the top of Pao de Acucar which is a huge rock formation that overlooks the entire city & more in a spectacular panoramic view. I was able to see a plane take off from the local airport from above, which is not usually one's point of view.
Last night we were treated to dinner & some traditional music at a local club which was fun. The accordian player in one of the bands was not to be believed.
Today, as you might've guessed, was a day off. Tomorrow is our last show before heading home Friday.
We've experienced many different venues (from a sports arena to a hotel ballroom) & weather conditions (from mild winter to deep summer) on this trip.
Still, as always, I'm greatly looking forward to getting back to NYC, still the greatest city on Earth.
